Jarrison Time can automatically handle Public Holiday conditions and as part of this, allows Holiday Calendars to be created, with calendars containing each year’s public holiday dates. These dates need to be added to Jarrison Time, this is generally done when the time and attendance software is run for the first time, and at the start of each year.
Calendars are then assigned to employees according to what dates should apply for them.
South African users can note the clocking system automatically applies “Monday PH if PH falls on Sunday” South African rule.
To create a new Holiday Calendar:
1) Go to Setup > Public Holidays. The middle area of your screen might not have calendar entries like below.

2) Click Add under Holiday Calendar on the left.
3) Enter a name for Public Holiday Calendar Name.
4) Check that the correct year is set next to Select the year.

5) Click Add under the middle area to begin adding public holiday dates for the new calendar. Enter a Description for the holiday, and then select the Date it occurs on. Then click Save.

6) Repeat for each holiday that needs to be added.
7) Once the calendar entries are all complete, the calendar can then be assigned to employees individually from the Employee Details > Misc tab, or to filtered groups by using Multiple Action > Holiday Calendar for all employees in the list.
Dates in the past that have already occurred at the time of adding them may require a recalculation of those periods.
