In certain situations there may be an excess of clockings being created by people being authenticated by devices too quickly in succession. This can cause an issue with duplicate clockings affecting results. Hikvision devices can be set to not authenticate the same employee within a specified time period, this is done by setting the Authentication Interval.
This can be done via the web interface or on the device user interface. Note the screens below may differ according to your device’s firmware version.
Web Interface
Login via the Web Interface by entering the IP address of the device into a web browser on the same network as the device, and entering the device admin details. The main page of the device will then be displayed.
Select Configuration either at the top of left-hand side of the web interface, depending on firmware version.
If selecting Configuration from the top, next select General.
If selecting Configuration from the left, next select Access Control.
The option for Authentication Interval can be set from this page. The interval is set in seconds and can be set according to the requirement.
Device User Interface
Press and hold on the screen for about 2 seconds and then swipe left or right. The prompt to login as Admin will appear.
Enter the device Admin details and login. The main menu will be displayed.
The Authentication Interval can be set from this page according to the
requirement.
