Jarrison Time requires an interface to communicate over network directly with ZK Teco devices. An interface needs to be installed on each machine that needs to communicate with devices. Installing of the interface can be performed through JT Manager, however if it needs to be done manually the below steps should be followed.
1) Download the ZKTeco interface file from the Jarrison Systems website.
2) If the installation is on the machine running the JT Engine service, the service must be stopped first. Logout of Jarrison Time.
3) Extract the interface installation package, then right-click the “Setup.exe” file located in the extracted folder, and choose the option to Run As Administrator. (Your IT department may be required to input Administrator username and password.)
4) Follow the Next prompts until the installation is complete, and you are prompted to click the Close button.
5) Once the interface is installed, we should be sure that the library files it contains register properly with Windows. For this, navigate using Windows Explorer to C:\Program Files (x86)\Jarrison Systems\Jarrison Time
6) Search for a file named “RegisterZKDLL.bat” and then right-click it and Run As Administrator. (Your IT department may be required to input Administrator username and password).
A CMD window will appear as the files are being registered. Once it’s done, you can click OK, and then press any key on the keyboard to close the window.
7) Find the file named “RegisterZKBioKey.bat”and then right-click it and Run As Administrator as well.
8) If the interface was being installed on the engine machine, the engine can now be restarted. After logging into Jarrison Time you should be able to interact with the ZK Teco device(s) setup in Jarrison Time.
