A call out bonus is a special allocation used by some types of shifts, for example maintenance workers, where an additional fixed allocation should occur whenever employees are called to work outside of their regular working hours, regardless of how long they were actually on site for.
In Jarrison Time, call out bonuses work on condition of a full shift being clocked, and a clock in and clock out occurring for the call out time. Paid breaks for the day should not extend past shift end time.
Below are steps to set up to a bonus so that whenever an employee on the day program clocks in after hours for at least one minute, they will be given one hour of Call Out OT.
1) First we must go to the Allocation tab of the Day Program on which the call out bonus should apply, A category must be added to the tab for the times call outs are possible, it will later be used to trigger the bonus. Note it is not recommended to allow for call outs immediately preceding or following shift start or end, clockings close to shift times would typically not qualify for a bonus and be regarded as part of shift. The below example will allow for call outs between 18h00 and 06h00 the next morning.
Remember if no suitable time category exists, you can add one under Setup > Time Categories

2) Move to the Bonus tab of the Day Program, and tick the Call Out option at the top.

3) The Call Out Parameters area near the bottom of the screen will become available.

The Minimum Time required on site to generate a bonus should be entered, and the category used for triggering (set on the Allocation tab) must be selected.
If the triggering time category’s time should be needed (in other words, how long did the person actually clock in for), tick Allocate Call Out.
If no other allocations defined on the Allocation tab should apply with the bonus, tick Ignore Other Allocations.
If there’s a possibility of multiple call outs, tick Repeat each event, or the system will only award a bonus for the first call out. If there may be further call outs they need to be separated by at least 30 minutes in order for the system to record them as being distinct.
Then the Allocation Time must be set, this is the amount of time the employee will receive when the other conditions are met. The time category it will be allocated to is selected in the Call Out Category dropdown list, in this example Call Out OT is being used.
Below is an example result as seen from Daily Details, for an employee that clocked a full shift, and then returned later for 11 minutes, which earned a one hour bonus.
